Heckmann & Thiemann Motors was founded in 1968 by Ed Thiemann, Dick Thiemann and Gerhard A. Heckmann. Gerhard was factory trained in Germany on Volkswagens & Porsches and Ed and Dick were both were trained in Portland at local Volkswagen & Porsche dealerships. Dick retired in 1988. Gerhard retired in 2002, and Ed and his wife are continuing the business.
